Make a Mothers Day Card

Make a Mothers Day card that’s bright and colorful and find other handmade card ideas inspired by flourishes, stylish pattern paper and fun accents.

It's fun to incorporate flourishes on my homemade card ideas. They tend to look busy so try to avoid really busy prints where the flourishes might get lost. For this Happy Mothers Day card, I used a punch to make the flourishes but you can use stickers, rub-on accents or try stamping flourishes.

You can come up with lots of paper card making ideas with the selection of stickers available these days. For my Mothers Day card ideas, I found a pack of inexpensive flowers and used one for this card.

You can print out your sentiment on vellum paper for your handmade Mothers Day cards but you can also use a stamp and rub-on letters as well. For this handmade card making project, I used a laser printer to print the sentiment and applied a tiny piece of double sided tape to the corners but you can also use vellum tape.

When you create Mothers Day cards you can make them bright or subdued but think about the personality of the person you are making it for. Either way, your Mothers Day card will be cherished.

Here's another handmade Mothers Day card using bright colors. Instead of pastel pinks and blues, I opted for a vivid teal color to make this card.

I used a paper stack to help coordinate the colors for this homemade greeting card which included busy prints and not so busy prints.
