For this get well card, I used the colors on the sticker to help me choose the color palette for the card. The sentiment was created on my computer and I found clip art on the web that was a decorative design and added it on four corners of the sentiment.

This Get Well card features a bird cage nestled onto a bed of flowers.  A couple of birds rest of the foliage and sentiment. The "Get Well" sentiment is cut from a die cut along with the bird cage and foliage. Photo corners cut from the same teal color as the bird cage help tie in the teal colors.  The background is an embossing folder that has a section flat so that the die cut flowers can sit flat on the paper.  The gold accent gives the card a nice pop of shine.

Flower dies can go a long way for you card making.  Add a bouquet of flowers for the focal point or just accenting your card with flowers just adds that extra prettyness to your cards.

For my homemade greeting card ideas, I usually incorporate one of my craft punches. I used a 1/2" corner punch on the bottom of the card and a scallop circle punch to create the sentiment. Since the print is busy, I didn't use a lot of embellishments and added ribbon and a small trim to finish off the card.

You can use die-cut flowers for your get well soon cards. I found a pack of bright, tropical flowers and had used them for other hand made card ideas. I also used my scallop border punch for the strip of white paper in the background. The tag was created from a 1/4" corner punch and the sentiment was printed on vellum paper.  There are also metal die cuts that have a Get Well message so you can replace the printed sentiment with the die cut, but make sure the sentiment fits your space you are using.
