For homemade card ideas using paper that has a pattern along the edge, try this design. I found a beautiful scrapbook pattern print from The Garden Party Stack, that featured a floral design along the lower half of the paper so I decided it would work well for this happy Mothers Day card. I used the bottom edge of the paper for the bottom edge of the card and used the upper part of the paper, which had a subtle print, to create the decorative shape that holds the vellum sentiment.
I used chalk ink along the edges of all the pieces of this handmade card making project and used Fiskars' 1/2 corner punch to round off the corners of the cream paper.
Don't forget pretty embellishments for your Mothers Day card ideas. I used adhesive gems and a pretty satin ribbon to accent my handmade Mothers Day card.
When you create Mothers Day cards, don't shy away from prints that have a pattern along the border. Try to incorporate the border pattern into your cardmaking ideas.

This card is accented with glittery brads and ribbon. The sentiment is created using vellum paper but try adhesive letters for rub-on letters to create the sentiment if you do not have a laser printer.
