My Valentine card ideas, or most homemade greeting card ideas for that matter, often include using craft punches. For this Valentine card, I used Martha Stewart's Cherish, Punch Around the Page punch to create the decorative shape that holds the image. I also used a scallop border punch along the bottom of the card and embellished the card with adhesive gems and ribbon.

For your hand made card ideas to make a birthday card, use die-cut flowers. I used the colors on the flower and leaf to help me coordinate the colors for the card. I used a scallop border punch on pink pattern paper and a 1/2" corner punch along the bottom corners of the card. The sentiment is printed on vellum paper but you can use a stamp to create your sentiment. The card is embellished with ribbon and adhesive gems.

Handmade thank you cards can be inspired by a pretty sticker. As with the die-cut flowers, I used the colors on the sticker to help me choose a color palette for this card. I used a 1/2" corner punch on the green and pink paper and a circle and scallop circle punch to feature the sticker. A small "thanks" is stamped along the bottom corner and I layered a solid and gingham print ribbon to finish off the card.
