GRADUATION CARD DESIGN

Try a graduation card design using a black and white paper print. Accent your handmade card ideas with teal ribbon, glitter and a diploma clip art image.

You can find lots of clip art images from Microsoft's website. Search under graduation and you can select from black and white or colored images. There are images of males and females, caps, gowns, diplomas and stars.

Handmade graduations cards often include caps and diplomas. I found an image that had a cap and diploma so I deleted the cap and printed out the diploma on cardstock paper.

For lots of my paper card making designs, I often print out my sentiment on my laser printer because you can customize the message. Try adding the name of the graduate, name of the school or class year.

Use glitter for your graduation card ideas. A little sparkle makes plain clip art images pop. I used teal in the center of the ribbon to match the ribbon and silver for the rest of the ribbon. I use Martha Stewart's 24-Vial Glitter Multi-Pack because it has a lot of colors to choose from and I like the vials because you can sprinkle the glitter or open the lid and you can pour it or return excess glitter.

For this handmade card making project, I used metallic teal stars but you can add gems, or regular stars as well.

This card can be made for a girl or female and for a high school graduation. Change out the colors of the paper and ribbon to make a card for a boy.

Graduation card making can be fun and when you create your own cards, you know the graduate will appreciate it.
